Art 100×100 contributes for cancer awareness

BAIT Al Zubair has presented a cheque for RO 4,000 to the Oman Cancer Association. “Raising awareness of cancer is of prime importance in Oman”, said Paul Doubleday, the new General Manager of Bait Al Zubair Foundation, “and we are extremely pleased that this year the ART100x100 has raised this sum in support of the Oman Cancer Association”.
Working in partnership with the Oman Cancer Association, Ibrahim Gailani and Bait Al Zubair Foundation collected over 100 paintings, which were sold earlier this year to raise funds for the important cause at a packed evening event. Paul commented: “Cancer touches us all whether through a friend, a family member or personally.”
However, if it is detected early then the chances of recovery are significantly increased”. Visiting the Oman Cancer Association, Paul was told of their work, both in Muscat and with their Mobile Mammography Unit, which is travelling around the Sultanate, providing free mammography screening for all women and increasing cancer awareness across the country.
Hand in hand, Bait Al Zubair Foundation presented the outsize cheque for the amount of RO 4,040 to Yuthar al Rawahi, Chairperson of the Association. Her Excellency said: “We are sincerely grateful to Bait Al Zubair and for Ibrahim Gailani for all the support they provided. It is people like them who enable us to continue our awareness work and realise the objectives of Oman Cancer Association.”
