Promoting conservation
THE Environment Society of Oman (ESO) recently held its eighth annual fundraising ball at the Grand Hyatt Muscat in support of its mission to promote conservation of the country’s natural environment.
The event was attended by ESO members and supporters, as well as main sponsor the Saud Bahwan Group and bronze sponsors BP and Mohsin Haider Darwish.
Lamees Abdullah Daar, ESO Executive Director, welcomed guests before giving an overview of ESO’s achievements in the last 10 years and presenting a video showcasing ESO’s current projects and team members. She said, “The success of ESO would not be possible without generous support and the help of volunteers. We continue to engage the public as well as fostering cooperation with the private sector and non-government organisations to make a positive impact on the environment.”
